Program Providers - Why Equilibrio?

Equilibrio offers preventative and responsive English speaking support services to study abroad students and program providers throughout Europe and beyond.

We understand the emotional and psychological impact of the Study Abroad experience and ensure that college students have access to independent and confidential counseling support and expert guidance.

English speaking preventative and responsive support services to study abroad students and program providers throughout Europe.

Program Providers - Your Role

As the provider of study abroad programs on behalf of American colleges and universities, you understand the complexities of providing an experience that engages and supports students academically and personally. This can be challenging as you strive to meet the expectations of home schools while also acknowledging and respecting the cultural context in which you both live and encourage students to assimilate. You take overall responsibility for students’ learning and growth while they are abroad by ensuring that they have comfortable accommodation, access to inspiring and stimulating student life and opportunities for cultural integration. Critically, you are also tasked with looking after their emotional and psychological well-being.

Equilibrio - Our Role

From the moment students land in their new country, the Equilibrio telephone HelpLine offers confidential expert emotional support and guidance 24/7  to college students wherever they are and whatever they need. We also support you, the program providers, in managing difficult situations and critical incidents when they occur.

Benefits to Program Providers

Through Equilibrio’s preventative and responsive services, we free up time for local staff to focus their attention on program administration, academics,  student life, and the many other aspects involved in providing the Study Abroad experience for students. We partner closely with you to help students meet the challenges that arise when living and studying in a different cultural context. We also connect them to our professional network of English-speaking counselors, psychotherapists, or psychiatrists if they need support beyond the HelpLine. In times of crisis, we activate our international teams to fully support students, staff and the integrity of your program.

Away from their support systems, students studying abroad often experience emotional issues and end up putting themselves at risk.  Unchecked, these risks often have more serious consequences. To support them we offer:
