At MondoEquilibrio we understand the emotional and psychological impact of the Study Abroad experience. We work 24 hours each and every day of the year to ensure that American college students studying in Europe have access to independent and confidential assistance, support and advice.

The U.S Department of State describes the Study Abroad as an opportunity for young Americans to discover a place in a global market.

Study Abroad can be an incredible experience for young adults. Each semester, American students pack their bags and jet off to foreign countries with the hope of building on their academic studies and embarking upon a journey that promises personal growth and independence.

However, studying abroad can be extremely challenging, and the stress of adapting to new cultures and classrooms, different ways of learning and living often triggers emotional and psychological difficulties, whether or not students have pre-existing conditions.

MondoEquilibrio has created a variety of unique solutions that offer expert emotional, psychological and practical support to college students studying abroad in all European cities.

Most students in the U.S have a range of great counseling and support services available while on-campus. However these services are often either not appropriate or available or when students are studying abroad, leaving in-country offices to pick up the pieces when things go wrong.

MondoEquilibrio services are both preventative and reactive – from the moment students land in the country, the helpline offers expert, professional and confidential support directly to students, freeing up local staff time to focus on academics, administration, and student life.

Away from their support systems, students studying abroad often experience emotional issues and end up putting themselves at risk.  Unchecked, these risks often have more serious consequences. So, we offer:

Unlimited use of the Equilibrio 24/7 toll-free support line
Calls answered in English by qualified specialists who understand the common issues faced by study abroad students
Supportive counseling and needs assessment
Confidential
Referrals to face to face counseling, psychotherapy, psychiatry or video counseling*

Studying overseas can be an invaluable path to true independence, and students often feel that they would like to get emotional support as and when they need it without having to ask for help from local staff, sometimes fearing stigma or issues of confidentiality* We are here to help them get the immediate support they need. The MondoEquilibrio Support Line guarantees access by phone 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in which expert Advisors, Counselors and Psychotherapists assess and counsel students through the range of issues that can present themselves during this important transition period in their lives.
