Universities and Colleges - Why Equilibrio?
We understand the emotional and psychological impact of the Study Abroad experience and ensure that college students studying overseas have access to independent and confidential assistance, support and advice.
Universities and Colleges - Your Role
Whether you hire a provider on the ground to oversee the program for your study abroad students or you have your own local in-country office, your overarching goals are to engage and support students academically and personally while offering inspiring and stimulating student life and cultural opportunities. Critically, you are also tasked with looking after their emotional and psychological well-being.
Equilibrio - Our Role
We partner with you to help students meet the challenges that arise when in a different cultural environment. From the moment they land in their new country, the Equilibrio telephone HelpLine offers expert confidential emotional, support and guidance 24/7 to your students wherever they are and whatever they need. We also connect students to professional English-speaking counselors, psychotherapists or psychiatrists if they need support beyond the Helpline. In times of crisis, we activate our international teams to fully support students, staff and the integrity of your program.
Benefits to Universities and Colleges
U.S. students have an excellent range of counseling and support services available while on their home campuses. When abroad, these services are often either not appropriate or available, leaving local offices to pick up the pieces when problems arise. We understand this need and fill the gap, providing preventative and responsive services 24/7, and allowing you, the universities and colleges, to rest easier knowing that your students have English speaking support available. Your local staff can then focus their attention where it belongs, on program administration, academics and student life. In times of crisis, we provide wrap around guidance and support to students, faculty, administrators and parents.
